Tato was born and raised in Los Mochis, on the Pacific in the northern Mexican state of Sinaloa. His deliberately flippant glances at life and traditional Mexican culture in an age of full-blast materialism bring a simultaneous éclat of brightness and desolation.
Tato now has his atélier in the coastal city of Mazatlán. He has exhibited widely in Mexico, as well as in San Diego and Boston.
